Recreate the iconic McRib sandwich at home with this delicious recipe. Tender baby back pork ribs coated in a flavorful dry rub, smothered in barbecue sauce, and topped with creamy coleslaw, all served on a toasted sesame bun.
Ingredients
For the Dry Rub:
– 1/3 cup kosher salt
– 1/4 cup brown sugar
– 2 tablespoons chili powder
– 2 tablespoons freshly ground black pepper
– 1 tablespoon ground cumin
– 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
For the Sandwiches:
– 2 racks baby back pork ribs
– 1 cup barbecue sauce, divided
– 4 sesame hamburger rolls, split and toasted
– 1 cup coleslaw
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 300°F.
2. In a small bowl, mix together the dry rub ingredients.
3. Rub the dry rub all over the baby back pork ribs.
4. Place the ribs on a baking sheet and bake for 2-3 hours, until tender.
5. Remove the ribs from the oven and brush with barbecue sauce.
6. Return the ribs to the oven and broil for a few minutes until the sauce is caramelized.
7. Assemble the sandwiches by placing a rib on each toasted bun, topping with coleslaw, and drizzling with more barbecue sauce.
8. Serve hot and enjoy!
