Description

Recreate the iconic McRib sandwich at home with this delicious recipe. Tender baby back pork ribs coated in a flavorful dry rub, smothered in barbecue sauce, and topped with creamy coleslaw, all served on a toasted sesame bun.

Ingredients

For the Dry Rub:

– 1/3 cup kosher salt

– 1/4 cup brown sugar

– 2 tablespoons chili powder

– 2 tablespoons freshly ground black pepper

– 1 tablespoon ground cumin

– 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

For the Sandwiches:

– 2 racks baby back pork ribs

– 1 cup barbecue sauce, divided

– 4 sesame hamburger rolls, split and toasted

– 1 cup coleslaw

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 300°F.

2. In a small bowl, mix together the dry rub ingredients.

3. Rub the dry rub all over the baby back pork ribs.

4. Place the ribs on a baking sheet and bake for 2-3 hours, until tender.

5. Remove the ribs from the oven and brush with barbecue sauce.

6. Return the ribs to the oven and broil for a few minutes until the sauce is caramelized.

7. Assemble the sandwiches by placing a rib on each toasted bun, topping with coleslaw, and drizzling with more barbecue sauce.

8. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

– For a smokier flavor, you can cook the ribs on a grill instead of in the oven.

– Customize the coleslaw by adding your favorite ingredients like shredded carrots or sliced apples.
