Description

These homemade McDonald’s-inspired pancakes are quick, easy, and fluffy! Perfect for a delicious breakfast at home, these pancakes replicate the soft texture and sweet flavor of the famous McDonald’s pancakes, served with butter and syrup. You’ll have a breakfast treat ready in just minutes!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Butter, for greasing the pan
  • Maple syrup, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pancake Batter:
    1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
    2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
    3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.
  2. Cook the Pancakes:
    1. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter.
    2. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
    3. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until small bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set. Flip the pancake and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
    4. Repeat with the remaining batter, greasing the pan as needed.
  3. Serve:
    1. Stack the pancakes and serve warm with butter and maple syrup on top.

Notes

  • For extra fluffiness, allow the batter to sit for 5 minutes before cooking.
  • You can add chocolate chips or blueberries to the batter for added flavor.
  • These pancakes are best served fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the microwave or on a hot skillet.
