Description
This creamy and flavorful cold imitation crab dip is the perfect party appetizer. Made with tender imitation crab, a blend of cream cheese and sour cream, and seasoned to perfection, this easy dip pairs perfectly with crackers, chips, or fresh veggies. Ingredients
- 8 oz imitation crab meat, finely chopped
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (or to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crab
Finely chop the imitation crab meat into small pieces for easy mixing.
2. Mix the Base
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth and creamy.
3. Add the Flavor
Stir in lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
4. Fold in the Crab and Cheese
Gently fold in the chopped imitation crab, green onions, and shredded cheddar cheese (if using).
5. Chill and Serve
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with crackers, chips, or fresh vegetables.
Notes
- For a spicier dip, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a few dashes of hot sauce.
- If you prefer a thinner consistency, add a little more sour cream or mayonnaise.
