Description
A comforting and delicious classic beef stroganoff made with lean ground beef, mushrooms, onions, and a creamy sour cream sauce served over egg noodles.
Ingredients
– 1 lb lean ground beef
– 8 oz fresh button mushrooms, sliced
– 1 medium onion, finely chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
– 1 cup sour cream
– 8 oz egg noodles
– 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
– 1 tsp Dijon mustard
Instructions
1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain any excess fat.
2. Add the mushrooms, onion, and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened.
3. Stir in the beef broth, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Simmer for 10 minutes.
4. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions.
5. Serve the beef stroganoff over the cooked egg noodles.
Notes
– To add more flavor, you can sprinkle some fresh parsley on top before serving.
– For a lighter version, you can use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream
