Scale
- 1 can of refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup cream cheese icing (from the cinnamon roll can)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Open the can of cinnamon rolls and separate them. Cut each roll into 4 equal pieces.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
- In a separate shallow dish, mix the white sugar and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
- Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Dip each cinnamon roll piece into the egg mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated, then place it in the skillet. Cook until golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Transfer the cooked bites to a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes, or until cooked through.
- While baking, warm the cream cheese icing in the microwave for 15-20 seconds until it reaches a dippable consistency.
- Once baked, remove the bites from the oven and toss them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until well coated.
- Serve immediately with the warm cream cheese icing on the side for dipping.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, consider adding a pinch of nutmeg to the egg mixture.
- Ensure the cream cheese icing is warmed slightly to make dipping easier.
