  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Chocolate Tiramisu:

  • 42 ladyfingers
  • 2 cups hot chocolate cooled
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 16 ounces mascarpone cheese
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar divided
  • 1/2 cup chocolate curls

Instructions

  1. Prepare Chocolate Custard: In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, milk, and cream. Cook until thickened. Add chocolate, egg yolks, butter, and vanilla. Cool.
  2. Assemble Tiramisu: Dip ladyfingers in hot chocolate and arrange in a dish. Mix mascarpone with sugar and vanilla. Layer ladyfingers, custard, and mascarpone. Repeat layers.
  3. Chill: Refrigerate for a few hours. Top with chocolate curls before serving.

Notes

  • For a stronger coffee flavor, add coffee liqueur to the hot chocolate.
