For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
For the Buttered Noodles:
- 12 oz egg noodles
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Season the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Cook egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and return to the pot.
- Add butter to the hot noodles and stir until melted and evenly coated. Season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix in parsley if desired.
- Slice the chicken and serve over the buttered noodles.
Notes
- For a vegetarian version, substitute the chicken with thick slices of portobello mushrooms.
- You can use any type of mushrooms you prefer; cremini or button mushrooms work well.
- Adjust the thickness of the sauce by adding more or less heavy cream to your preference.
