Description

For the Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

For the Buttered Noodles:

  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and return to the pot.
  4. Add butter to the hot noodles and stir until melted and evenly coated. Season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix in parsley if desired.
  5. Slice the chicken and serve over the buttered noodles.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, substitute the chicken with thick slices of portobello mushrooms.
  • You can use any type of mushrooms you prefer; cremini or button mushrooms work well.
