Description

These Chicken Tzatziki Skewers with Feta Fries are a flavorful and satisfying meal. The marinated chicken is grilled to perfection and served with creamy tzatziki sauce, while the crispy feta fries add a delicious twist to the classic dish.

Skewers

  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 shallot, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 13 tablespoons harissa sauce (or use hot sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • salt and black pepper
  • 1 1/2 pounds chicken breasts, cut into bite-size chunks
  • 12 cups Tzatziki sauce
  • 1/2 cup garlic tahini (recipe in notes)

Feta Fries

  • 4 russet potatoes, cut into 1/4-inch-thick matchsticks
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup mixed herbs – dill, basil, parsley
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 clove garlic, grated
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: Mix olive oil, shallot, garlic, oregano, chili powder, honey, harissa sauce, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Add chicken, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Prepare Feta Fries: Toss potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, cayenne, herbs, lemon zest, garlic, and sesame seeds. Bake until crispy, then top with feta.
  3. Skewer and Grill: Thread marinated chicken onto skewers and grill until cooked through. Serve with tzatziki sauce and feta fries.

Notes

  • You can make your own garlic tahini by blending tahini with garlic, lemon juice, and salt.
