Description

Chicken Riesling is a flavorful dish made with tender chicken breasts cooked in a creamy Riesling sauce with bacon, mushrooms, and garlic. It’s a decadent and satisfying meal that is perfect for a special dinner or entertaining guests.

Ingredients:

  • 56 strips bacon, cut into small pieces
  • 2 large chicken breasts, cut in half lengthwise
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Flour for dredging
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 7 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup Riesling
  • 3/4 cup heavy/whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Cook Bacon: In a large skillet, cook bacon pieces until crispy. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  2. Cook Chicken: Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge in flour and cook in the same skillet until browned on both sides. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Prepare Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté mushrooms, Italian seasoning, and garlic until mushrooms are tender. Add Riesling and bring to a simmer. Stir in cream and bacon pieces.
  4. Combine: Add chicken back to the skillet and simmer for a few more minutes until chicken is cooked through and sauce has thickened.
  5. Serve: Serve chicken Riesling hot with your favorite side dish.

Notes

  • You can substitute Riesling with a dry white wine if desired.
  • Adjust the amount of cream for a thicker or thinner sauce consistency.
