Ingredients:
- 5–6 strips bacon, cut into small pieces
- 2 large chicken breasts, cut in half lengthwise
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Flour for dredging
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 7 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup Riesling
- 3/4 cup heavy/whipping cream
Instructions
- Cook Bacon: In a large skillet, cook bacon pieces until crispy. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Cook Chicken: Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge in flour and cook in the same skillet until browned on both sides. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Prepare Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté mushrooms, Italian seasoning, and garlic until mushrooms are tender. Add Riesling and bring to a simmer. Stir in cream and bacon pieces.
- Combine: Add chicken back to the skillet and simmer for a few more minutes until chicken is cooked through and sauce has thickened.
- Serve: Serve chicken Riesling hot with your favorite side dish.
Notes
- You can substitute Riesling with a dry white wine if desired.
- Adjust the amount of cream for a thicker or thinner sauce consistency.
