			- For the Chicken:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
 - Salt and pepper to taste

 - For the Alfredo Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
 - 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
 - 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

 - For the Pasta:
- 12 ounces fettuccine pasta
 - 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for boiling pasta)
 - Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions
- Cook the Pasta:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
 - Add fettuccine and cook according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.

 - Prepare the Chicken:
- Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
 - Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C). Remove from skillet and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

 - Make the Alfredo Sauce:
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
 - Pour in heavy cream and simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently.
 - Gradually stir in Parmesan cheese, whisking until the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and black pepper.

 - Combine and Serve:
- Add the cooked fettuccine to the Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat. If the sauce is too thick, stir in reserved pasta water a little at a time.
 - Serve pasta topped with sliced chicken breast. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg to the Alfredo sauce.
 - Substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
 - Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for the best taste and texture.
