Description

Cheesy Chicken Wraps are a quick and easy dinner option that’s perfect for busy weeknights. Tender chicken, melted cheese, and your favorite seasonings are wrapped in a soft tortilla for a savory, handheld meal that’s as satisfying as it is delicious. Serve with a side of salsa, guacamole, or a fresh salad!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken (shredded or diced)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing (or 1 tablespoon taco seasoning for extra flavor)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes (optional)
  • Salsa or sour cream (for dipping, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken Mixture:
  2. In a bowl, mix the cooked chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and ranch dressing (or taco seasoning). Stir until well combined.
  3. Assemble the Wraps:
  4. Lay each tortilla flat on a surface.
  5. Spread an even layer of the cheesy chicken mixture onto the center of each tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges.
  6. Add a small handful of shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes (if using) on top of the chicken mixture.
  7. Wrap the Tortillas:
  8. Fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then roll it tightly from the bottom up, securing the filling inside.
  9. Cook the Wraps:
  10. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
  11. Place the wraps seam side down in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted inside.
  12. Serve:
  13. Remove from the skillet and slice each wrap in half. Serve with salsa, guacamole, or sour cream if desired.

Notes

  • You can use leftover rotisserie chicken for a quick shortcut.
  • If you prefer a lighter version, use whole wheat tortillas and swap the cream cheese for Greek yogurt.
  • Add a drizzle of hot sauce or sriracha for an extra kick.
