Description

These delicious cheeseburger sliders are perfect for a quick and easy meal or party appetizer. Baked to perfection, they are sure to be a crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients

– 2 pounds lean ground beef

– 2 teaspoons garlic powder

– 1 teaspoon kosher salt

– 2 teaspoons ground black pepper

– 1 tablespoon olive oil

– 1/2 white onion, diced

– 12 slider-sized Hawaiian rolls (1 package)

– 12 (3/4-ounce) cheese snack bars, any flavor (e.g., Borden)

For the Glaze (Optional):

– 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (1/2 stick)

– 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

– 2 tablespoons brown sugar

– 3 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

– 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

– 1/2 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté until softened, about 3–4 minutes.

  3. Add ground beef to the skillet. Season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook until fully browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.

  4. Slice Hawaiian rolls horizontally without separating them. Place the bottom halves in a greased baking dish.

  5. Evenly spread the cooked beef mixture over the rolls, then top each with a cheese snack bar.

  6. Add the top halves of the rolls.

  7. In a small bowl, mix the glaze ingredients: melted butter, salt, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Brush evenly over the tops of the rolls. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

  8. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake uncovered for another 5–10 minutes, or until tops are golden and cheese is melted.

  9. Let cool slightly before slicing into individual sliders and serving.

Notes

– To add extra flavor, try using different types of cheese snack bars.

– For a spicy twist, mix in some hot sauce to the glaze.
