Description
These Cheeseburger Baked Tacos are a delicious twist on traditional tacos, combining the flavors of a cheeseburger with the convenience of a taco shell. They are perfect for a quick and easy weeknight meal.
Ingredients
– 1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
– 1/2 medium onion, diced
– 3/4 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon pepper
– 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
– 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
– 1 tablespoon sweet relish
– 10 hard taco shells (I recommend Stand ‘n’ Stuff with the flat bottom)
– 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
– 1 tomato, chopped
– 1 cup shredded lettuce
– Optional: 1000 islands dressing, mayo, pickles or bacon
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion until browned. Drain any excess grease.
3. Stir in the salt, pepper, barbecue sauce, mustard, and relish.
4. Spoon the beef mixture into the taco shells and place them in a baking dish.
5. Top with shredded cheese and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
6. Remove from the oven and top with chopped tomato, shredded lettuce, and any optional toppings.
7. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
– You can customize these tacos with your favorite cheeseburger toppings like pickles, bacon, or 1000 islands dressing.
– For a healthier option, you can use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef.
