Description

Indulge in the sweet and crunchy goodness of homemade candy apples with this easy-to-follow recipe. Perfect for parties or a fun treat for the family!

Ingredients

– 6 Organic Apples

– 6 Wooden Skewers, Lollipop or Popsicle sticks

– 2 Cups White Sugar

– 1/4 Cup Light Corn Syrup

– 1 Cup Water

– Red Food Coloring

Instructions

1. Wash and dry the apples thoroughly. Remove the stems and insert a wooden skewer into the top of each apple.

2. In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Add a few drops of red food coloring for a vibrant hue.

3. Continue to cook the mixture, without stirring, until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage) on a candy thermometer.

4. Carefully dip each apple into the hot candy mixture, coating it evenly. Place on a greased baking sheet to cool and harden.

5. Enjoy your homemade candy apples once they have hardened!

Notes

– For a fun twist, try adding different food coloring to create a variety of colored candy apples.

– To add extra flavor, sprinkle crushed nuts or sprinkles on the apples before the candy coating sets.
