Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil.
  2. In a shallow dish, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a separate shallow dish, beat the eggs.
  4. In a third shallow dish, place the panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Coat each chicken tender first in the flour mixture, then dip it in the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with the panko breadcrumbs.
  6. Arrange the coated tenders on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the tenders are golden and cooked through.
  8. While the tenders are baking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the buffalo sauce and cook for 2-3 minutes, until combined and heated through.
  9. Once the chicken tenders are done, remove them from the oven and drizzle the buffalo sauce mixture over the tenders. Toss to coat evenly.
  10. Serve immediately with a side of blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping.

Notes

  • For extra crispy tenders, you can spray the coated tenders with cooking spray before baking.
  • If you like your tenders spicier, add more buffalo sauce or a dash of hot sauce to the sauce mixture.
  • Serve with celery and carrot sticks for the perfect buffalo wing experience.
