Description

A vibrant, azure-hued cocktail that lives up to its name with a dazzling blue color and a hint of citrus. This eye-catching drink combines the smoothness of vodka with the sweet tang of blue curaçao and a splash of lemon, creating a refreshing and visually stunning cocktail.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz blue curaçao
  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon twist or blue candy flame (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
  2. Add vodka, blue curaçao, lemon juice, and simple syrup to the shaker.
  3. Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds until well chilled.
  4. Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass.
  5. Garnish with a lemon twist or a blue candy flame on the rim.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, replace vodka and curaçao with blue sports drink and lemon-lime soda.
  • To create a layered effect, slowly pour the blue curaçao over the back of a spoon onto the other ingredients.
  • For an extra “flame” effect, you can carefully float a small amount of high-proof rum on top and ignite it briefly before serving (caution: only attempt this if you’re experienced with flambé techniques).
