Description

This incredibly moist and flavorful banana bread is the perfect way to use up ripe bananas. With a soft texture and rich banana taste, it’s ideal for breakfast, snacks, or dessert. Plus, it’s easy to make in one bowl with simple pantry ingredients!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 3 large ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar (or brown sugar for extra moisture)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chopped nuts

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
Gently stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips or nuts, if using.
Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and moisture.
Avoid overmixing the batter to keep the bread soft.
Check doneness at 50 minutes to prevent overbaking
