- 4 large croissants, sliced in half
- 8 slices of deli ham (about 200g)
- 8 slices of Swiss cheese (or Gruyère, about 120g)
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise (optional)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Spread Dijon mustard and mayonnaise on the inside of each croissant half (if using).
- Layer 2 slices of ham and 2 slices of cheese inside each croissant. Close the croissants and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the tops of the croissants lightly with melted butter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the croissants are golden brown.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- Feel free to substitute Swiss cheese with cheddar, provolone, or your favorite cheese.
- Add a sprinkle of herbs like thyme or parsley for an extra touch of flavor.
- Use a baking rack on the sheet for extra crispiness.
