Description

Flaky, buttery croissants filled with savory ham and melty cheese, baked to golden perfection. These croissants are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a quick snack. Simple to prepare and utterly satisfying!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large croissants, sliced in half
  • 8 slices of deli ham (about 200g)
  • 8 slices of Swiss cheese (or Gruyère, about 120g)
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise (optional)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Spread Dijon mustard and mayonnaise on the inside of each croissant half (if using).
  3. Layer 2 slices of ham and 2 slices of cheese inside each croissant. Close the croissants and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Brush the tops of the croissants lightly with melted butter.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the croissants are golden brown.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Feel free to substitute Swiss cheese with cheddar, provolone, or your favorite cheese.
  • Add a sprinkle of herbs like thyme or parsley for an extra touch of flavor.
  • Use a baking rack on the sheet for extra crispiness.
