Sugar Topping:

    • 2-3 tbsp brown sugar
    • 1 tsp cinnamon

To Serve (optional):

    • Maple syrup
    • Fresh berries

Instructions

  1. Prepare Berry Compote: Combine berries, lemon juice, and sugar in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until berries break down, then set aside.
  2. Make Cheesecake Filling: Beat cream cheese, heavy cream, and sugar until smooth.
  3. Assemble French Toast: Slice rolls in half, spread cheesecake filling between halves, then arrange in a baking dish.
  4. Whisk French Toast Mixture: Whisk eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla. Pour over assembled rolls.
  5. Add Toppings: Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon on top.
