- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until well combined. Shape the mixture into oval patties, about 1 inch thick.
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the patties for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. Transfer to a baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together beef broth and cream of mushroom soup. Pour the mixture over the patties in the baking dish.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes, or until the patties are cooked through.
- Serve hot with mashed potatoes, buttered noodles, or a side of steamed vegetables.

- Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
- Add sautéed mushrooms to the gravy for extra flavor.
