Air Fried Oreos are a delightful and easy-to-make treat featuring Oreo cookies wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough and cooked to golden perfection in an air fryer. This recipe delivers a crispy outer layer with a melty, chocolatey center, topped with a dusting of powdered sugar for an irresistible dessert or snack that’s perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
Crescent Roll Dough
- 8 ounces can of crescent rolls (e.g., Pillsbury or generic)
Cookies
- 8 Double Stuf Oreos (Oreo brand or generic)
Topping
- 2–3 tablespoons powdered sugar
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: Unroll the canister of crescent rolls and separate the first triangle of dough.
- Wrap the Oreos: Place one Oreo cookie in the center of the widest bottom edge of the crescent dough. Fold the bottom edges over the cookie and roll it up toward the tip of the dough, fully encasing the cookie. Repeat this wrapping process with all remaining Oreos.
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Remove the baking basket from the air fryer and preheat it to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes. Just before cooking, generously spray the basket with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Arrange and Cook: For larger air fryer baskets, arrange all the wrapped Oreos in a single layer with some space between each to allow dough expansion and proper cooking. For smaller baskets, cook in two batches. Bake at 350°F for 6½ to 7 minutes (or 5½ to 6 minutes for smaller batches), until the crescent dough is golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve: Carefully remove the cooked Oreos from the basket and transfer them to a serving plate. Dust generously with powdered sugar and serve warm for the best taste and texture.
Notes
- Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
- Reheating: Reheat leftovers in the oven or air fryer until warmed through.
- Optional: Make a glaze by mixing powdered sugar with heavy cream to drizzle over the cooked Oreos for added sweetness.
- You can substitute avocado oil spray for nonstick cooking spray if preferred.
- Ensure to cook only in a single layer and leave enough space between cookies to prevent soggy dough by promoting airflow.
- Best enjoyed immediately while warm for optimal texture and flavor.
